A Summarized Objective for the Visual Arts Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Elmer Yazzie, Art Educator and Artist Creator God calls the art student to comprehend what it means to be chosen, inspired, have skill and have understanding. What an honor it is to be chosen by God to create visual Biblical truth statements. What an honor it is to be inspired by God’s spirit so that our visual statements result in uniqueness. What an honor it is to strengthen our physical skill through artistic activity. What an honor it is to know how to explain what we have produced in our art work. Here at Pusch Ridge Christian Academy, the visual arts seek to honor God through knowing who God is as Artist, who man is as artist, and how Christ exemplifies artistic living. We believe that we are ordained by God to create, not copy; to “sing a new song unto the Lord” through the art work we produce. It is important to seek the Father’s mind through the Spirit.
