Application Steps - Pusch Ridge

Pusch Ridge Christian Academy is a ministry to Christian families in the greater Tucson area. The Admissions Department desires to accept students who will be academically successful in our college preparatory curricula, and also partner with us in their desire to mature as believers in Jesus Christ. Our students come from a wide variety of backgrounds and demonstrate a vast range of abilities and interests.

Pusch Ridge has rolling enrollment; we do not have a date by which applications must be received. However, certain grade levels may fill, so families are encouraged to start the application process as soon as possible.

Testing
Please call or email the Admissions Office to sign up for your child to take the Entrance Reading Test. This test covers reading comprehension and vocabulary. Students interested in Honors or AP level classes in high school must also take the Honors English Writing Prompt. All incoming new students in grades 6-9 will also be required to take a Math Placement test. Prior to taking the ENtrance Reading Test, families must have submitted the application and paid the $100 Application Fee.

Family Interview
Once all application forms have been completed and submitted, and the Entrance Reading Test has been taken and graded, the  family will be scheduled for a family interview. The student must be present at this meeting. Family interviews are an opportunity for us to get to know your family, and for you to ask any remaining questions about our program.

Acceptance
Within two weeks of the family interview, the family will be contacted by mail about acceptance to Pusch Ridge Christian Academy. Students are not accepted on a first-come first-served basis. Students are accepted based on Christian testimony, grades, test scores, a desire to be at Pusch Ridge, and the family interview.

Registration Fee
Students accepted to Pusch Ridge must complete further enrollment paperwork and submit the Registration Fee (this fee varies by grade). This fee secures the student's place in class.
