Science and technology continues to attract special support at Cornerstone and Pusch Ridge. In the past year, over $50,000 has been donated to support special needs of the science department. Thanks to generous grants, our science faculty will attend the National Science Teachers Association Conference in December and participate in other continued educational enrichment opportunities. In addition, the grants have funded six high speed cameras; projectile launchers; a male and female torso and muscle figure; electronic balances; mineral kits and labs; DNA and forensic materials; a high resolution digital microscope; and much more. This commitment to the PRCA Science Department is allowing the department to enhance the classroom experience which better engages each student.
At Cornerstone a generous benefactor donated over $70,000 for Smartboards and a MacLab. All classes in grades 1st through 6th now have Smartboards. All teachers have received special in-service training, and our Cornerstone children are quick to learn this new exciting technology!
